Frequently asked questions.

What is Hypnosis?

The best way to describe hypnosis is being deeply relaxed, so that we can communicate with the unconscious part of the mind. This does not mean you will be unconscious; you will be able to hear sounds inside or outside of the room and be aware of my voice. You will have thoughts running through your mind and will probably wonder if you are under hypnosis. The answer to that will be yes, as we are in and out of hypnosis daily without even realising it.

Have you ever driven your car and arrived at your destination, but have no idea how you have got there as you have been daydreaming on your way? That is hypnosis, your clever unconscious mind has taken you safely to your destination all by itself!

Can anyone be Hypnotised?

Everyone has the ability to be hypnotised, as it is a natural normal state that we enter in and out of daily. We do this at least twice a day when we awake and when we fall asleep.

Can you be Hypnotised to do things against your will?

No, absolutely not! As an accredited hypnotherapy practitioner, I am a facilitator, helping you to access your subconscious and cannot make you do anything against your morals or principles. During a hypnotherapy session, you are completely aware of what I am saying and have the power to reject suggestion.

Can I get stuck in a trance?

No, this is not possible. It is completely natural and you can open your eyes and become fully alert if you want to.
